What to check before installing a shopping app or signing up for a membership.

Follow the retailer’s app page

Use the brand’s own app information page to find its download links. Confirm the developer and description in the App Store or Google Play before installing.

Check account and location requirements

Some features or offers require an account, a membership or a participating location. An app download alone does not guarantee a discount.

Keep brand offers and app offers separate

A retailer’s coupon may work only on its website, only in an app, or through a particular checkout channel. Follow the terms attached to the individual offer.

Check permissions in context

A barcode scanner may ask for camera access; a store finder may ask for location. Read the permission prompt and decide whether you need that feature. Where the app provides a manual store or address choice, use it if you prefer. Installing an app does not require accepting every optional notification.

Separate installation from subscription

A free app download can still offer paid delivery, subscriptions or in-app purchases. Review the price, billing interval and cancellation process before joining a paid service. Use the retailer’s official support for account or order problems; an app listing on CouponMori does not give us access to your account.
